Turkey-Russia complete eighth joint land patrol in Syria, Turkish Defense Ministry says

Turkish and Russian units completed their eighth joint land patrol according to plan with the participation of UAVs east of the Euphrates, Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"In the Ayn al-Arab region where the land patrol was conducted, UAVs also took part and were accompanied by four vehicles from each side totaling eight," the statement said and adding that Turkish and Russian units patrolled an area of 34km length and 10km depth

According to the agreement between Ankara and Moscow, the patrols should conduct within a depth of up to 10 km inside Syrian territory east and west of the area under Turkey's exclusive control, or 120 km of border between Tal Abyad and Ras al Ayn.
