Turkey, Russia resuming flights, Karaismailoğlu says

Turkey and Russia have decided to resume flights to and from destinations in the two countries, Adil Karaismailoğlu, Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The flights will begin on Wednesday, the ministry said

Turkey suspended all international travel in late March in an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

The tourists from Russia topped the list and accounted for 15.6% of all arrivals in Turkey in 2019. About 7 million Russians visited Turkey in 2019, according to Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry.
