Turkey suspends all flights to and from Iran over coronavirus fears

All flights, including private, cargo and charter flights, to and from Iran have been suspended by the Turkish civil aviation authority as the coronavirus risk grows for the country with each passing day.

Iranian carriers can arrive in the country to transport Iranian passengers; however, they will not carry Turkish citizens.

On Tuesday, Turkey decided to close its border with Iran and stop incoming commercial flights in an effort to stop the potential spread of coronavirus.

Death toll from coronavirus outbreak rose to 19 in Iran with 139 confirmed cases, making the country the highest number of coronavirus fatalities outside China, whose Hubei province is the epicenter of the outbreak.

Turkish Health Minister said that there were no confirmed coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.
