Turkey will increase our national income up to one trillion dollars: Erdoğan

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account regarding the Medium-Term Programme (MTP), which covers the country's economic roadmap for the next three years.

In his post, Erdoğan thanked all public institutions and organizations that contributed to the programme's preparation, wishing that the Medium-Term Programme, which he believes will be a critical step toward the establishment of a great and powerful Turkey, would be auspicious for the country and the nation.

Erdoğan noted the following in his post: “We envisage an average annual growth rate of 5.3 per cent in our economy, average annual employment of 1 million 170 thousand people, exports exceeding 250 billion dollars by the end of this three-year period, the ratio of the current account deficit to national income falling to 1 per cent by the end of this programme, the ratio of the central government budget deficit to national income to be 2.9, the primary budget balance returning to 0.3 per cent surplus, and inflation permanently falling to single-digit levels. This year, we will increase our national income to over 800 billion dollars, and by the end of this programme, up to one trillion dollars.”
