Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 62,745

221 more people have died due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 62,745, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 6,987,494, after 27,197 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 633 patients are in critical condition, 6,453,201 patients suffering from the disease have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

At least 84,203,108 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
