Turkey’s Director of Communications: Greece harbors terrorist organizations, including PKK

Turkish Presidency’s Director of Communications Altun shared a post on his Twitter account regarding Greece's support for the PKK terrorist organization.

“From a supposed refugee camp inside the EU, the terrorists plot attacks against Turkey, a NATO ally, just as actual refugees are left for dead in the Aegean,” said Altun.

Altun also shared a three-minute video explaining Turkey’s fight against terrorist organizations like the DAESH, FETO and PKK, noting: “Greece harbors terrorist organizations, including PKK. From a supposed refugee camp inside the EU, the terrorists plot attacks, including suicide bombings, against Turkey, a NATO ally – just as actual refugees are left for dead in the Aegean. It's time to end Greece's impunity!”

The video shared underlined that while Turkey had made significant progress in neutralizing these threats, some foreign countries had assisted these groups.

The video remarked that Greece stood out as a haven for the PKK and FETO, and Öcalan, the terrorist ringleader, had travelled to Athens with a Greek Cypriot passport in 1999.

The video recalled that Öcalan had been caught while being transferred from the Greek ambassador's residence to the airport in Nairobi, adding that during Öcalan's interrogation, he had revealed that Greece had supported the PKK for years.

The footage also stressed that Öcalan's PKK militants had received weapon and training at the Lavrio camp, which is still active.

It noted that Greece had also openly supported FETO members in the wake of the July 15 coup attempt and that the coup plotters who had fled to that country still freely roamed the streets there instead of being extradited.

The video also showed that Ankara called NATO allies, especially Greece, which is its neighbor, to support Turkey’s fight against all forms of terror.
