Turkish F-16s shot down a drone on Syrian border

Turkish Ministry of National Defense says a drone has been shot down on the Syrian border.

It is not known who the drone belongs to, the ministry said.

"On 28 September 2019, an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which had violated our airspace 6 times on the Syrian border, was shot down by two F-16 aircraft taking off from Incirlik," the ministry said in a twit.

"The wreck of the drone was found at the Cildiroba base" by the authorities in the Kilis province near the Syrian border, the ministry added.

The ministry of defense tweeted photos of the downed drone.
