Turkish President Erdoğan arrives in Azerbaijan

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in Azerbaijan for a one-day working visit at the invitation of President İlham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

Erdoğan’s plane landed at the Fuzuli International Airport, which is the first airport built by Azerbaijan in its recently-liberated lands. Welcomed by President Aliyev, President Erdoğan was the first head of state to land at the Fuzuli International Airport.

After cutting the opening ribbon of the airport, Erdoğan and Aliyev toured the terminal building.

The two leaders attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Ahmetbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha and Ahmetbeyli-Horadiz-Mincivan-Ağbend motorways afterward.

Accompanying Erdoğan on his visit are Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.
