Turkish President Erdoğan arrives in Russia

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in the Russian city of Sochi to pay a visit at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation.

Upon his arrival at Sochi International Airport, President Erdoğan was welcomed by Vice Governor of Krasnodar Alexander Ruppel, Mayor of Sochi Aleksey Kopaigorodsky, Head of the State Protocol Department at Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Igor Bogdashev, Turkey's Ambassador to Moscow Mehmet Samsar, Turkey's Consul General in Novorossiysk Fırat Bayar and officials from the Embassy and the Consulate.

He is accompanied to Sochi by National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) Head Hakan Fidan, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın.

President Erdoğan and President Putin of Russia will meet at the Official Residence of the President.
