Turkiye signs S-400 agreement with Russia

Rosoboronexport President Aleksandr Miheyev said Russia and Turkiye have signed an agreement on the delivery of S-400 missile defense systems, but have not yet entered into force.

Russia's state arms export company Rosoboronexport President Aleksandr Miheyev said that the work on the contract of shipping of S-400 defense missile still continues, the contract was signed but it has not yet come into force.

Speaking to Sputnik, Miheyev stressed that the work on the shipment of the S-400 missile systems is being carried out by the two countries, underscoring that the contract has been signed but has not yet come into force.

Miheyev noted that work was being done on technical details. Miheyev said in a statement he made earlier that Turkiye agreed with the S-400 missile agreement and believed the contract would be passed on.

Former National Defense Minister Fikri Işık also stated that they were in the process of signing the S-400 missiles with Russia.
