TurkStat: Economic confidence index realized as 93.9 in April

The economic confidence index which was 98.9 in March decreased by 5.1% in April to 93.9, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement on Thursday.

This decrease in the economic confidence index stemmed from the decreases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, retail trade, and construction confidence indices, according to the statement.

Consumer confidence index decreased by 7.5% and became 80.2, real sector confidence index decreased by 2.5% and became 107.4, services confidence index decreased by 2.0% and became 103.3, retail trade confidence index decreased by 5.6% and became 103.1, construction confidence index decreased by 3.1% and became 77.3 in April compared to the previous month.
