Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkiye has sent two diplomatic notes to the US for Reza Sarraf.
Çavuşoğlu stated that a second diplomatic note was sent to the US for not responding to the first note: "The diplomatic note sent to the US about Reza Sarraf; following the news in papers that lawyers cannot reach Reza Sarraf, we sent a written diplomatic note on the second day saying, 'this person is our citizen, and there is news like this, what is his situation?' No respond was sent from the US after 3-4 days. So our friends sent another one saying, 'We asked a note with the following date, but there was no return from you.' Yesterday there has been a return from both the Ministry of Justice and the US Department of State to our Embassy. 'he is in somewhere else. His health is also good, safe, no problem,' they gave a general answer. This is the essence of the event."
