U.S fighter jets bomb munitions storage bunker left behind in Syria

Two U.S. fighter jets carried out airstrikes to destroy ammunition that was left behind when American forces left a cement factory south of Kobani, Syria on Wednesday

The United States launched airstrikes to destroy its own munitions storage bunker at a base in northern Syria after American troops left the site prior to a Turkish operation in the region.

The site was a coordination center for the U.S.-led coalition and Kurdish forces in the fight against the Islamic State group.

Turkey launched the operation on October 9 with the aim of removing the northern Syrian regions near its border of YPG/PKK members, whom it views as terrorists.
