The driver was injured in the attack near the village of Lisnyky outside Kyiv.
Ukrainian Interior Ministry said that more than 10 bullets had hit the vehicle.
A special police operation has been launched to locate and detain the culprits, who used 7.62 mm automatic weaponry in the attack.
