US troops withdrawing from Syria to go to western Iraq

The approximately 1,000 troops withdrawing from northern Syria are expected to go to western Iraq to continue allegedly the fight against Islamic State members.

The approximately 1,000 troops withdrawing from northern Syria are expected to go to western Iraq to continue allegedly the fight against Islamic State members and to help defend Iraq, U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper said.

Turkey has agreed in meetings  with U.S. Vice President Mike Pence to a five-day pause in an operation into northeastern Syria to allow time for the YPG/PKK members to pull out  from a safe zone Turkey İntents  to create near the Turkish border with Syria.
