Voting for referandum begins in Turkiye

In Turkiye, voting procedures for the 'Constitutional Amendment' referendum began.

55 million 319 thousand 222 voters will vote in 167 140 polls throughout Turkiye for the 18-point constitutional amendment, which envisages passage to the Presidential Government System.

Voting began in Adıyaman, Ağrı, Artvin, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüshane, Hakkari, Kars, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Muş, Ordu, Rize, Siirt, Sivas, Trabzon, Tunceli, Sanlıurfa , Van, Bayburt, Batman, Şırnak, Ardahan, Iğdır and Kilis at 07.00 am and will end at 16.00 pm for the referendum. In other provinces, the polls will be available at 08.00-17.00 hours.

In the early hours of the voting process, citizens came to the polls and began to use their preferences. It was reminded that the use of mobile phones was prohibited during the passage of citizens into the cabins.
