We arrested 21 thousand drug dealers: Turkish Interior Minister

Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has announced that Turkish police have arrested 21,000,600 drug dealers so far this year.

Speaking at the opening program in Kastamonu, Turkiye's province at the west of Black Sea region, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, stated that they have established narcoteams in 81 provinces and that 21,000,600 drug dealers have been arrested so far during the year.

"We have established our narcoteams in 81 provinces. I have seen that the number of drug deaths has increased from 500 to 900."

Stating that the number of people lost their lives due to the use of the drug, Minister Soylu said 941 people died of the drug in 2017 while it was 926 in 2016. "The number of people lost their lives in 2018 is 317 so far," he underlined. "We are in an effort to decrease this number."

"We're getting success for our struggle. Yesterday, our friends operated again. They raided on those promote drug on social media."

Adding that Turkish police have arrested 21,000,600 drug dealers so far this year, Soylu lastly said: "Just as we fought terrorism, we will erase drugs the same way."
