A delegation from Anatolia Yes Platform visited HUDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Presidency and shared their views on the new constitutional amendment.
Speaking on behalf of the platform, Ahmet Ay emphasized that HUDA PAR has always used the attitude siding to the nation in the most sensitive times.
Saying that the weakness in the political system brings military, judicial and media tutorship, Ay said, "Such foci have benefited from the weakness of the gang system on February 28. But now there are regulations in the political system. Hope that after the referendum these problems will come to an end."
Şeyhmus Tanrıkulu reminded that HDA PAR President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu's announcement of the referendum decisions had been announced as "Yes" and said, "Our referendum decision is yes. Of course there are hesitations within this. There are some issues that need to be addressed in terms of the development of our region and the resolution of problems."
Tanrıkulu said, "We had a request to completely change the constitution of coup constitution which constituted in 1982. All political parties promise the change of this constitution to the public and replace this constitution with civilian and a new constitution suitable for the belief of the people. We hope that this will happen in the coming days. The 1982 constitution is denial, fascist rhetoric, a constitution that ignores our riches, so it needs to be changed, and most importantly, steps should be taken on the Kurdish issue."
Tanrıkulu emphasized that the people should not be polarized in the campaigns and works to be done before the referendum and the "Yes" and "No" people are the citizens of this country and we need to win each other without convincing each other without discrimination. We need our unity and solidarity. The events of October 7, barricades and ditches, events such as July 15 have caused serious damage. We have to evaluate the opportunities that are available when we have survived such bad luck. We would like to completely shut down the fronts of military coups that happened in the past in this country. Politians should also consider the values of the people, and it is important to that to take steps on that way. We have taken steps towards this to the benefit of our people until now. All political parties should take steps in this direction." (ILKHA)
