We have the fire in Izmir under control: Minister

Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli announced Tuesday that they have brought the forest fire under control, which is continued for 3 days in Izmir Karabağlar-Tirazlı.

The fire in Karabağlar, Izmir, was taken under control 3 days later.

Providing information through social media, the Turkish minister said they have managed to control forest fire in Karabağlar-Tirazlı, Izmir, and cooling works are ongoing.

"I wholeheartedly congratulate our team working in selflessly with 19 helicopters, 237 sprinklers, 25 dozers and 1200 personnel throughout the day," he added.
