Zionist regime holds 4 Palestinian prisoners in harsh solitary confinement

The Negev prison administration has been isolating 14 Palestinian prisoners for more than a month under cruel detention conditions.

The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority revealed in a press release on Wednesday that the 14 prisoners are held in solitary confinement in very difficult detention conditions.

The statement pointed out that the isolated prisoners are only given mattresses (without covers) to sleep at midnight and are taken from them at 6 am, adding that they remain handcuffed all the day hours.

The 14 prisoners are also denied medical treatment although some of them suffer health problems, it said, adding that they have been denied new clothes ever since they were held in solitary confinement a couple of weeks ago.

This came as part of the israeli collective punitive measures that have been imposed on Palestinian prisoners following the escape of six prisoners from Gilboa prison last month.

An estimated 4,650 Palestinians are held in the zionist regime’s jails, including 200 children, 40 women, and 520 administrative detainees.
