Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu held a joint press conference with England Foreign Minister Boris Johnson.
FM Çavuşoğlu criticized the U.S. politics on YPG in his statement, said that the fulfilment of promises aren’t made.
Çavuşoğlu said that: “We said that it is a wrong politic the join of YPG in Manbij operation. YPG will go back behind of Euphrates as soon as the operation is over. Obama, Biden, Kerry have pledged but the YPG elements are still in Manbij. You can’t make YPG listen or you don’t want to send them back. How you going to trust YPG when you can’t make get 200 YPG elements behind of Euphrates?
Cooperation with YPG for operation on Rakka and other operations is to put the future of Syria in risk. It will be a huge mistake sending YPG to Rakka when you can’t make them listen in Manbij. It is a betrayal for the future of Syria and Iraq to cooperate with terrorist against another terrorist.”
