3 thousand Muslims were slaughtered in Arakan in 3 days

Spokesperson of the European Rohingya Council Anita Schug announced that between 2 and 3 thousand Muslims were massacred during attacks on Muslims in the last 3 days in Myanmar's Arakan state.

The spokesperson of the European Rohingya Council [ERC] Anita Schug, who made a statement about Buddhist savagery in Myanmar's state of Rohingya that took place in recent days, said that between 2 and 3 thousand Muslims were brutally murdered during the attacks carried out by members of the army and Buddhist gangs in the past 3 days.

The massacres carried out by Myanmar troops and Buddhist gangs continue in the Maungdaw region of Arakan state.

European Rohingya Council (ERC) Spokesperson Anita Schug points to the size of the savagery in Arakan in the statement she made.

After the attacks started in 2012, thousands of Muslims in Rohingya (Arakan); women, children, elderly people, burned, lynched, hung on trees, ceilings of their homes; mosques, medreses, schools, houses, and cultivated land were set on the fire.

Due to the atrocities, about 140,000 Muslims had to leave their homes and go to Bangladesh. Until today, it continued to migrate occasionally due to attacks on Muslims.

It has been reported that the news is coming from the region that near of 3 thousand Muslims were brutally murdered after the attacks in recent days, the attacks continue and the number of the dead tool may increase.

The international human rights organizations addressed to the international communities that the killings and massacres of the Myanmar government be prevented.

On the other hand, Arakanese Muslims who are trying to escape from the unbearable barbarities of Myanmar Government and Buddhist gangs and take refuge in Bangladesh are returned.

The rugged soldier named Ariful Islam from the Bangladesh Border Guard said that they had sent back about 20 Arakanese Muslims who crossed from Naf River that formed their border with Bangladesh and Myanmar on Sunday (August 27, 2017). According to the information given by the commander, about 70 Muslims were sent back to Bangladesh on Saturday after the mortar attacks launched by the Myanmar army against the villagers of the Arakanese Muslims.

Another border guard, who did not want the name to be revealed, said, Arakanese Muslims trying to cross the border, were begging them not to be sent back.

Thousands of Muslims flock to Bangladesh because of the resumption of massacres, while Bangladesh border police do not allow transits.

Matthew Smith, a human rights activist in Myanmar from Fortify Right, called the international community humanitarian aid to both sides of the border, stating that the situation was completely unacceptable.

“We are consistently getting reports of army attacks on civilian populations, burning villages down, killing men, women, and children, and this is leading people to flee for their lives,” Smith said, asserting that the attacks carried out by the Myanmar army were indiscriminate.

Smith addressed the charities that the aid agencies should not be attached to the “very dangerous black propaganda of the Myanmar government” about helping Rohingya.

Smith has also urged the international community to raise their voice loudly, clearly and singular against this completely massacres of Myanmar’s Suu Kyi that, “She's been shockingly irresponsible with this crisis.”
