Debts of conflict victim’s farmers adjourns
Debts of farmers who victimized due to the conflicts took place in Dıyarbakır, Mardin, Şırnak and Hakkari, have been postponed for a year.
“The decision to postpone the loan debts of Ziraat Bank and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of real or legal person producers who are suffering from terrorist incidents in some of our provinces,” said in the published today’s Official Gazette related to the issue.
Under the decision of the Council of Ministers decided on March 20, 2017, the debts of the victims of the conflicts in Diyarbakır, Mardin, Şırnak and Hakkari were delayed by one year.
The facts that farmers who are registered in other records systems of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, and the Farmer Registration System, which operate in these provinces and whose products, animal assets, facilities or greenhouses have been damaged due to incidents between January 1 and December 31, 2016, the procedures and principles regarding the postponement of the loan debts of Ziraat Bank and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives were determined.
The debts of farmers whose crops, animal assets, facilities or greenhouses are damaged by at least 30 percent and which are determined by provincial or district damage assessment commissions shall be postponed for one year as of the date of issuance of this judgment. (ILKHA)
