Participating on a TV program Defarges said about President Erdoğan, “As far as we can see, the legal path has been closed, either a civil war or a hypothesis that is hard to say is the murder of Erdoğan. Let's not forget the assassination.” Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın gave a request for a four-page criminal proclamation to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office about Defarges.

It is noted in the petition that Defarges' statements are based on the point where the hostility of Erdoğan, which turns into a psychiatric disorder in the West, is a desperate situation. It is noted that the call of Defarges, has been interested not only in lawyers but also in doctors who are interested in mental health.

It was reported that Defarges committed the crime of “assassination and de facto assault on the President” and that “when the actions of inviting for the assassination to the President of Turkiye in the various capitals of Europe in the past and asserting the terrorist organizations clearly protected in many European countries were taken into consideration. It is obvious that it is not a description of a thought and that it is succinctly stated to be an instigate means. Investigation and prosecution in Turkiye is possible for the crime attributed to the suspect.”

It was demanded that an investigation be launched against Defarges for the crime he had been accused of reminding him that the perpetrator was not required to be present in Turkiye for the investigation and prosecution for the call of “assassination and assault on the President”.

It was also requested that the health board be observed whether the defendants' mental health is in place if they wish to come to Turkiye. In this case, it was requested that investigation to be done on Defarges if he has relationship with “terrorist organizations” especially PKK and FETO and who gave order of the assassination.

According to the evidence obtained as a result of the investigation, a request for a public case against Defarges and related persons was made.

Defarges apologize

Defarges apologized on social media following the intense reactions for his words. Defarges admits that the words he uses in the program are inappropriate, but arguing that he is misunderstood, “I want to express my deepest sadness and sincerely apologize to the people and groups that I may have broken in.
