Drone footage shows the earthquake on Indonesia's island of Sulawesi and the subsequent tsunami disaster.

The number of people killed in the earthquake and tsunami on Indonesia's island of Sulawesi reached 2,056. 5 while the search for 684 missing people continues.

Two weeks ago, an earthquake of 7.5 magnitudes hit the island. After the earthquake, the cities of Palu and Dongala were hit by tsunami waves reaching 3 to 6 meters in height. The treatment of 2,549 severe injuries is still in progress. While 99,471 people were forced to migrate internally, 65,000 houses became unusable.

IHH teams who moved to the region in the first night following the earthquake and tsunami carried out work in 4 different regions and delivered emergency relief supplies to 30,000 disaster victims.

With the support of philanthropists, IHH teams carried out food, shelter, hygiene kit, blanket, hot food and clean water distribution in Palu, Dongala, Sıgi, and Makassar. The Makassar aid, which was not affected by the earthquake, was carried out for families who migrated to the region due to internal migration.

IHH teams have contributed to the damage assessment studies as well as emergency assistance. In this context, teams have viewed the city hit by earthquake and tsunami by drone to reveal the damage.
