Erdoğan Tezic one of the notorious actors of February 28 dies

Former Council of Higher Education [YÖK] President Erdoğan Teziç who kept the ban of headscarves to the entrance university at the highest level during February 28 period, died. Social media users also recalled Teziç's old practices and reacted.

Erdogan Tezic, former YÖK President, notorious of headscarf ban at entrance to the university, and put coefficient obstacles for Imam Hatip and vocational high schools on February 28, died at the age of 81.

Teziç who was appointed by the former President Ahmet Necdet Sezer to the Presidency of Higher Education Council [YÖK] from 2003 to 2007 in Turkiye, is remembered for having his signature under many bans.

Tezic, who was not allowed to headscarved students at the universities, also dismissed headscarved staff and caused victims to suffer thousands of people.

Teziç was not satisfied with the application of the headscarf ban, also put 40 points coefficient obstacle in front of Imam Hatip and vocational high schools had caused these schools to close.

Tezic, who has been treated for a sudden cardiac insufficiency in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical School Hospital, died of a heart attack this morning.
