The roof of the vegetable-fruit market in Murat Neighborhood, 29 October Street of Ağrı collapsed due to snow accumulation on it.

While many health teams were being dispatched to the scene, the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate (AFAD) and the fire brigade began their debris removal efforts.

According to the information, when the roof was partially suspended during the initial collapse, some of the citizens and shoppers in the market were able to get out to save their lives. However, it was stated that the two persons stated to be elderly were remained under debris.

Ağrı Governor Musa Işın, who made a statement about the incident, said: "The roof of the market has collapsed unfortunately due to the snow, no casualties, so far a wounded has been removed under the debris.” (ILKHA)
