Gaziantep Provincial Mufti Ahmet Çelik stated that the hajj worship has a very important place in the Islamic religion, and announced that preparations for the hajj worship, which is a means of gathering millions of Muslims all over the world every year, are completed.

Çelik gave information about the season of the hajj, emphasized that the real enthusiasm in prayer, especially the hajj, is to win the pleasure of Allah.

This year in Gaziantep, a thousand and 800 people will go to the hajj as the result of the draw said Çelik, and added that the first group will send on Friday, August 11.

Stating that hajj is one of the five basic pillars of Islam, Çelik said, “Every Muslim is obliged to do once in a lifetime when circumstances permit. Thanks to Allah, as in various countries, as well as in our country, millions of our brothers and sisters every year go to the blessed lands to perform hajj worship.”

Saying that hajj worship is an alteration worship said Çelik, gave recommendations to hajj candidates and concluded his words as follows: "We are going to do a prayer once in our lifetime. We should us know that the time is blessed, in every moment of prayer. Let's take our time in the Kaaba. Let's take care of our health and eating or drinking. Because health is important, we cannot go to the Kaaba if we do not have health. We should spend our time there with prayer, washing Kaaba and read Qur’an. Because the place we go is not an ordinary place. The places where we are going to visit, where our Prophet has invited all humanity to faith and belief.”
