The five prisoners pursuing their hunger strike require immediate intervention to save their lives and force the zionist occupation to respond to their demands and end their suffering, which is getting worse by the day, al-Qanou said.

Al-Qanou highlighted that the heroic prisoners have the ability to withstand all conditions in the face of the Israeli occupation and its unjust policy of administrative detention.

The spokesperson reiterated his group's support for the heroic prisoners until they "fulfill their demands" and "seize their rights."

For his part, a member of the Hamas political bureau Hussam Badran stressed that the prisoners' issue is a top priority for the Movement.

Hamas is working to free and defend Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, he added.

Speaking to Al-Aqsa TV on Sunday evening, Badran pointed out that his group is leading an international legal action in defense of the prisoners.
