Huge fire kills at least 78 in Bangladesh

At least 78 people were killed and dozens injured according to the first findings in the huge fire in Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka.

At least 78 people were killed when the fire broke out; crumbling apartment blocks in a historic part of Dhaka where chemical warehouses were located in.

Many firefighters, search, rescue, and medical teams were dispatched to the site where narrow streets and buildings very close to each other.

Although the explosions made it difficult for firefighters, the fire was put under control.

At least 78 people died in the fire, 45 other people were injured. While the wounded were hospitalized, the conditions of some wounded said to be critical. There are concerns about the rise of the death toll.

120 people were killed in a similar fire in one of Dakka's old buildings in 2010.
