Looking for a job to look after his single kidney kid

The man in a difficult situation in Şanlıurfa wants him to be helped for an 18-month-old child who has to be treated regularly and lives with a single kidney.

Fevzettin Ay, 28, who lives in Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood of Şanliurfa's Akçakale district, is waiting for help from the authorities. Having stated that all the doors he have knocked for a job have been closed down to his face for 3 years, Ay feed his two children with the support of his brother which one of the child is with a single kidney.

Ay said that his 18-month-old son Talha, who lives with a single kidney, is increasing the problems of his situation aside from the difficulties of being unemployed for years.

Although his son's hospital expenses were met by SGK [Social Security Institution], he had to go to Mehmet Akif İnan Education and Research Hospital on a regular basis for kidney disease and he said that he often has difficulty finding money to pay for the travel.

Ay, unable to go to another city to work because of his child's condition, added that his child could lose the other kidneys if the necessary treatment is not done.

Ay said, “I have two children, one of my children is 18-months-old and lives with one kidney. He needs to be under the control of a doctor regularly. I live in the house of my brother now. I have a security certificate and license. I applied to many institutions especially ISKUR [Turkish Employment Agency] but nobody made me a return. In Akçakale there are many unemployed like me and waiting for a job too. This is a general situation and I know it. I can go to another city for work but my young child should be treated regularly so I cannot leave him. My wife cannot do hospital work because she is Syrian.”

Ay called to the authorities to help him, said, “I have doctor reports that my child is sick. My child has single kidney and this hurts me. I am calling from here to my elders, authorities. Give me a job opportunity. Not for me but for my 18-months-old single kidney child I want.” (Osman Gülebak - ILKHA)
