Number of paid employees in Turkey rises by 10.9% annually: TurkStat
Number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors increased by 10.9% in July 2021 compared with the same month of the previous year, the country’s statistical agency (TurkStat) said.
While the number of paid employees was 12 million 307 thousand 332 in the same month of the previous year, it became 13 million 643 thousand 956 in July 2021.
When sub-sectors are examined; number of paid employees in industrial sector increased by 10.4%, in construction sector increased by 14.4% and in trade-services sector increased by 10.5%.
Number of paid employees decreased by 0.5% monthly
Number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors decreased by 0.5% in July 2021 compared with the previous month.
When sub-sectors are examined; number of paid employees in industrial sector decreased by 0.5%, in construction sector decreased by 3.7% and in trade-services sector increased by 0.1%.
