Van Mufti Nimetullah Arvas, speaking on the program "Van is reading project" organized by the Provincial Mufti, has emphasized orientalists' efforts to falsify Islam and said, "Orientalism has been study involving religious, political, commercial and social issues. Describing the damage of Orientalism to the principles of Islam's belief, Arvas said: "The Christian western world has some activities for the Islamic world. Either to colonize them or to Christianize them with missionary activities and to induce doubts and suspicions in their beliefs. Ideas and thoughts. Orientalism has chosen to focus on Islamic beliefs related to faith, social, political and commercial activities of Muslims. They have begun to learn Arabic language in the 1500's. Their aim was to falsify in Arabic language. The Arabic language is the Qur'an so they have tried to get in from there."

Noting that Islamic scholars ended the whole of the knowledge of tafsir, hadith, fiqh, kalam and mysticism and that there was no question about them, Arvas expressed that there is no meaning of controversy on these issues today.
