Palestine: Hunger striker Fasfous may die any moment

Asra Media Office said that israeli doctors told hunger-striking prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous that he was close to sudden death at any moment.

Asra Media quoted the hunger striker’s brother as saying that doctors talked about the presence of clots in Fasfous’s blood that could lead to his death.

Fasfous is one of five prisoners who have been on open-ended hunger strike for different periods in protest at their detention administratively, with no indictments or trials.

However, Fasfous, from Dura town in al-Khalil, is considered the longest hunger striker as he has been on hunger strike for 122 days.

The other hunger-striking administrative detainees are Alaa al-Araj, Hisham Abu Hawash, Ayyad al- Harimi and Louay al-Ashqar. They have been on hunger strike for 98, 89, 52 and 34 days respectively.
