Talks begin with the U.S.

Turkey and the U.S. begin negotiations for "safe zone" planned to be established in northern Syria.

"Talks with US military officials on the safe zone planned for the facility in coordination with northern Syria began at 10: 00 a.m.," said Turkish Defense Ministry.

The first meeting with U.S. military officials had taken place on July 23.
