Ten die in Van crash in Bitlis
A passenger Van overturned into a stockade on Wednesday, killing 10 people and injuring 7 in Hizan, district of Bitlis, east of Turkey.
At least 10 people were killed and 7 were injured as a result of a village Van overturning into the stockade, in Hizan, district of Bitlis.
The crash occurred in the village of Kalkanli heading to Hizan district while the van used by Eyüphan Taş, with license plates 65 AZ 282, overturned in the stockade.
At least 10 people lost their lives, including 6 children while 7 others were injured and rushed to hospitals, the report said.
Of the children who died, 5 were students, of which 4 were studying in Bitlis and one was studying in Istanbul.
The governor of Bitlis, Oktay Cagatay, visited the wounded in hospital. Governor Cagatay made statements to the press after his visit, expressed his sorrow and wished such an accident not to happen again.
