Two children were killed and four children were injured in the explosion when a group of children played with a foreign object in the junkyard area in center of Şırnak.

According to the received information, an explosive object which learned that it was larvated before by PKK members in the junkyard area which is in Yeşilyurt Neighborhood at the Omer Kabak Square has been found by a group of children today at the time 11.45.

The object that is found and been played by children was exploded with a severe noise and injured 6 children.

112 Emergency health team called to the scene and took wounded children to the Şırnak State Hospital by ambulances.

Despite the medical interventions made in the hospital, 2 children whose names were not learned lost their lives and 4 other wounded children have no risk of death which their treatments are continuing.

On the other hand, in the statement made by the Governorship of Şırnak, following expressions were used, “6 children were injured in the explosion of an explosive that was previously planted and secreted by the members of the separatist terror organization in our city. Our children are immediately were taken to Sirnak State Hospital, but despite all the interventions made, 2 of our children lost their lives. We wish mercy from Allah for our children who have lost their lives, an urgent healing for our wounded children, and patience for their families.” (ILKHA)
