They threw the construction worker down from the 3rd floor
A group of about 100 people attacked construction workers in the Nallıhan district of Ankara.
A university student from Bingöl, F.C., and 7 workers were attacked by a racist group in Nallıhan district of Ankara.
A group of about 100 people who attacked the workers with iron sticks and truncheon, threw a workman who was on the jobsite down from the 3rd floor.
It was learned that the attackers were trying to get the workers they had beaten out of construction and forced to study the National Anthem.
F. C, who stated that he came from Bingöl’s Solhan to Ankara to work, said he is a university student and had to work to meet the school expenses.
F.C. said, “Our friend woke us at 23.00 on the night. ‘There is a fight out there,’ he said. We thought that two people were fighting among themselves, but the directly broke the gate down and they went in. They started attacking without letting us figure out what is going on. I was trying to tell them something, ‘do not do it, do not do it, we are Muslims, we are humans.’ But they did not listen to it, they were beaten us up there. They beat us up with truncheon and iron sticks, then dragged us out.”
Explaining that the attackers threw a person down from the 3rd floor balcony and broke his back, FC said that a worker was beaten and fainted.
The police did not intervene!
F. C, who asserted that the attackers beat themselves in the same way outside, but that the police did not intervene, even though the police were there, said:
“When they took us the hospital, the governor came to the hospital and said, ‘Police say they could not do anything,’ but I think they did not do anything intentionally. They forced us to read the Anthem of the Nations. They beat us up and then removed us out. Mark us wolves and said, ‘read the anthem and we will not beat you.’ After that, they started to attack with bricks from the outside, of course, the policemen also came in. So 30 to 40 minutes later the other police teams came in. We went to the hospital in this way.”
F. C, who stated that the attackers were threatening themselves, said, “In the morning, the provincial police chief and governor came in. They asked us to be discreet, and they would do the necessary thing. They said that they caught three people and they continued the investigation. They said, but we could not stay because the attackers say, ‘get out in the evening, if you stay, we will kill you, this is our place.’ They said, ‘we drank the same water, we ate same food, but you come and betray us,’ they said.”
F.C said that he did not know exactly what caused the event but he heard about it by a friend, “I heard that there was a martyr in Beypazarı or a mentally disabled brother, he came to the construction and workers gave him bread and food. He is coming to the bazaar on the day of the incident and tell people ‘go to the Kurds, the Kurds are like this and that.’ There were also nationalists, gathered and came in the evening, and we thought we would die during the event.”
M.C, the victim of the incident, said that he came from Bingöl’s Solhan from Sülünkaş village to Ankara to earn bread. (ILKHA)
