Turkey: Chicken meat production rises by 3% in June
Chicken meat production was 193 thousand 604 tons, hen egg production was 1.5 billion units, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
Chicken meat production increased by 3%, the number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 2.1%, hen egg production decreased by 1.4% and turkey meat production decreased by 28.6% in June compared with the same month of the previous year.
Chicken meat production decreased by 1.4%, hen egg production decreased by 3.3%, the number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 4% and turkey meat production decreased by 21.8% in the January-June period compared with the same period of the previous year.
Chicken meat production increased by 8.1% in June compared with the previous month and realized as 193 thousand 604 tons.
The number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 8.8% in June compared with the previous month and realized as 107 million 874 thousand units.
Hen egg production decreased by 4.9% in June compared with the previous month and realized as 1.5 billion units.
Turkey meat production increased by 10.4% in June compared with the previous month and realized as 4 thousand 492 tons.
