Turkey reports 22,699 new coronavirus cases, 108 deaths
108 more people have died due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 52,196, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,918,540 after 22,699 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
While at least 543 patients are in critical condition, at least 5,504,355 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
About 70 million tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
