Turkey sends its fourth ship to Eastern Mediterranean
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez announced Tuesday that Oruç Reis seismic research ship will conduct seismic research in the Mediterranean after resulting its works in the Sea of Marmara.

Turkish minister noted that they adding the fourth vessel to the search in the region conducting by Fatih and Yavuz drilling ships and Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha seismic exploration ship.
Stating that Turkey continues its exploration and drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean with the same determination and perseverance, Minister Dönmez said they will continue activities both in the continental shelf and in the licensing areas of TRNC for Turkish Petroleum.
"Our exploration and drilling vessels are conducting and will continue to carry out all their operations in the region as planned," he underlined.
Dönmez noted that Turkey has the ability and power to search, produce and transmit resources in the region to international markets.
The Oruç Reis Seismic Research Vessel, which has been conducting seismic research in the Black Sea and Marmara since August 2017, will be sent to the region to conduct seismic research in the Mediterranean immediately following its work in the Sea of Marmara.
"On the other hand, we will continue to take the necessary measures in coordination with our respective ministries in the face of any attempt to ignore Turkey's sovereignty rights in the region," said Minister Fatih Dönmez.
