Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 55,212
217 more people have died due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 55,212, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 6,273,681, after 19,970 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
While at least 623 patients are in critical condition, 5,756,406 patients suffering from the disease have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
At least 74,687,722 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
