Turkey’s retail sales volume rises by 4.6% on annual basis

Retail sales volume with constant prices (2015=100) increased by 4.6% in February 2021 compared with the same month of previous year, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.

In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 8.1%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 4.0%, automotive fuel sales increased by 0.8%, according to the statement.

Retail sales volume increased by 3.4% on monthly basis

Retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 3.4% in February 2021 compared with the previous month. In the same month non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 5.4%, automotive fuel sales increased by 3.8%, food, drinks and tobacco sales remained stable.

Retail turnover increased by 21.0% on annual basis

Retail turnover with current prices increased by 21.0% in February 2021 compared with the same month of previous year. In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 26.3%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 22.7%, automotive fuel sales increased by 5.9%.

Retail turnover increased by 4.5% on monthly basis

Retail turnover with current prices increased by 4.5% in February 2021 compared with the previous month. In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 1.4%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 5.9%, automotive fuel sales increased by 6.3%.
