Speaking at the Holy Birth programs organized in the city of Germany’s Hamburg Siyer Research Foundation President M. Emin Yıldırım said, “Saladin gathered the Ummah in the field. He put forward the love of the Prophet. In a single love axis, this Ummah can unite. Thus cluttered ummah, was gathered around the name of the Prophet, and welfare was established.”

Yıldırım, who attended to the activity in Diyarbakır Newruz area on the last Sunday and said that he experienced the enthusiasm there, said, “I live the happiness and pleasure of seeing you here in this enthusiasm that hovering from there.”

Recalling that when Saladin came to fore, the Ummah was shattered and explained the works of Saladin in order to bring the Ummah together and provide Islamic unity.

“So, how Saladin did this? He looked that the ummah has shattered. Everyone pulls somewhere else. If we talk according to today’s language, everyone says my instructor, my sect, my minister, my foundation, my associate. No one has bother with the Ummah. Saladin looked at the Ummah and said, ‘It is not be like this’. We need to unite in a common denominator. What is this common denominator he thought. Saladin gathered the Ummah in the field. Brought the Prophet's love to the fore. He said that this Ummah could unite around a single affection, in the center of a single love. He suddenly gathered the Ummah around the glorious name of Messenger of Allah. When Ummah gathered around the name of the Prophet, welfare was granted. It became force. The big Crusader armies wiped off the map.”

Yıldırım said that the mission of the Muslims is not only to tell people about Islam but also to help them to live the right way in the way of the Prophet Muhammad [PBUH]. (ILKHA)
