Death toll from coronavirus outbreak in Iran reaches 514, with 11,364 infections
The number of confirmed cases has reached 11,364. Of those, 514 people have died so far, said Head of Iran's Health Ministry Public Relations Office Kianoush Jahanpour on Friday.
"1,289 new cases were confirmed with the coronavirus in the country in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 11,364," Jahanpour said.
"3,529 coronavirus patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals as of Friday," he added.
The novel coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, has claimed the lives of 4,984 people, with infected 134,818 in 127 countries around the world.
