Global death toll from coronavirus pandemic nears 1,5 million
At least 64,845,884 people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus related fatalities with 279,867 deaths, followed by Brazil with 174,531 deaths, India with 138,657 deaths and Mexico with 107,565 deaths.
At least 44,942,201 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide.
