A bus driver spreads coronavirus to 12 people in eastern Turkey's Van province

The Governorate of Van announced in a statement that the bus driver, who tested positive for coronavirus, didn’t comply with the isolation rules, thus spread the virus to 12 people in the Tuşba district of the province.

The statement said: “Coronavirus (Covid 19) test of a person working as a driver in the bus company in our city and residing in the Kalecik Neighborhood of the Tuşba district was positive. The person who was quarantined in his home in in the Kalecik Neighborhood by the filiation teams caused 12 more Coronavirus infections when he did not follow the isolation rules.”

It was expressed that within the scope of the filiation, a notification was made with the minutes for the bus driver coming from Mersin and stopped at the entrance of the city by the health teams to remain in the house for 14 days however, after some time, after the Covid-19 test was positive for the driver who applied to the hospital after being disturbed, the Covid-19 test was carried out by medical teams to for those who live together with the driver and the people he was in contact with.

Coronavirus was detected in the same family and 12 people who were connected, since the isolation was not paid attention at home and the apartment in the in the Kalecik Neighborhood, where the family with positive cases resided, was quarantined by the filiation team.

It was also reported that the house belonging to the father-in-law of the driver that he visited in the Gedikbulak District was quarantined and the work was started.
