Coronavirus: Turkey reports 1,016 new cases, 21 new deaths in the last 24 hours
Turkey has reported 21 new deaths from coronavirus, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 5,344.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Saturday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 211,981, after 1,016 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.
193,217 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
While 1,194 patients are in critical condition, there are some 401 patients who are mechanically ventilated.
3,930,223 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
