Death toll from coronavirus nears 30,000 in the United Kingdom
At least 627 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United Kingdom death toll from the virus to 32,692, according to the country’s Department of Health and Social Care.
“As of 9am 12 May, there have been 2,007,146 tests, with 85,293 tests on 11 May. 1,460,517 people have been tested of which 226,463 tested positive. As of 5pm on 11 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 32,692 have sadly died,” the Department tweeted on Tuesday.
Global death toll from coronavirus has reached 289,101, with at least 4,297,377 confirmed cases and 1,546,114 recoveries, according to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics.
