Death toll from coronavirus in the U.S. has risen to 88, with 4,661 confirmed cases.
At least 4,500 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 88 have so far died in the U.S., the reports said.
The first confirmed case in the United States of coronavirus pandemic was announced on January 21, 2020.
Responses to the outbreak in the country have included prohibitions and cancellation of large-scale gatherings, including the closure of schools and other educational institutions, the cancellation of trade shows, conventions, music festivals, and the cancellation and suspension of sporting events and leagues—measures which intensified on March 11 after the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus outbreak to be a pandemic.
